THE HEADING

PLOT

Made of Honor revolves around Tom and Hannah, who have been good friends for 10 years. He's a constant dater, while she wants marriage but hasn't found "Mr. right". Just as Tom is starting to think that he is capable of being in a relationship after all, Hannah gets engaged. When she asks Tom to be her "maid" of honor, he agrees just so he can attempt to stop the wedding and get her back.

ACTING

1.) Patrick Dempsey (Tom) and Michelle Monaghan (Hannah) are very realistic characters.
2.) I think both Tom and Hannah are sterotypes in a way because Tom plays the typical guy who can't stay in a steady, long-term relationship which a lot of people can relate to. Hannah on the other hand plays the girl who' s always wanted a long term relationship but hasn't found the right "one" to share that with.
3.) The characters are very well-developed because their traits are very easy to identify based on how they chose to portray their character. They both made it very easy for the audience to not only understand their character, but also believe their character.
4.) Tom and Hannah were both believable. For example, when Hannah left town for a 6-week business trip, i felt what Tom felt, which was lonliness and sadness without having her around. This is all because of the great acting on Patrick Dempsey's part. When both characters were going through hard times in the movie, i believed what they were going through because they played their emotions out to the maximum!

SPECIAL EFFECTS, CINEMATOGRAPHY, MUSIC SCORE, CAMERA SHOTS, EDITING, ETC.

1.) I think the editing was very well done and the variety of shots used also complemented the film. I also noticed the lighting was perfect in alot of the dark and hard to see scenes. The shots used (close-ups, medium frontal shots, long shots, etc.) were very appropriate with what was going on in the movie. It felt like every single shot used was carefully selected for that particular scene.
2.) The setting stood out for me the most. Most of this movie took place in Scotland which made most of the shots beautiful to look at. The long-stetched grass lands and oceans were spectacular.

FINAL COMMENTS

1.) The reader should watch this film because it's a very fun and enjoyable film to watch. This movie makes you laugh, but at the same time makes you realize how important is it to not take the people in your life for granted.
2.) I think this film can be watched by anyone, however the ages of 15-30 would prefer the film more (only because certain situations in the film can be more relatable).
3.) The film has tremendous acting. The selection of characters are also perfect. The only weakness about this film is that its storyline/plot can be somewhat predictable at times.
