PLOT
This film centers around Sgt. Nicholas Angel. Who is a cop. A very good cop. So good in fact, he makes everyone else look bad. So his Chief Inspector sends him to relocate to a small, sleepy, seemingly crime less town, thus avoiding further embarrassment. When he gets there he is partnered up with Danny Butterman, who constantly questions him about life in the big city, and if there really is car chases an gun fights. But when a series of brutal murders occur in the small town, Danny and Nicholas must get to the bottom of it, clashing with everyone while trying to uncover the truth behind theses so called "accidents."
ACTING
The characters are extremely believable. It seems like if you strolled into a small town in England you might find people exactly like they are. They seem like real people. Some of the characters are slightly stereotypical but not so its very noticeable. If they were stereotypical its not in a bad way. The characters are very well developed i would say, i can almost believe they are real people, like i could into them on the street. The acting was quite good, it surprised me.Though it was slightly exxagerated at times, it was still good overall. It was very funny, but subtle British comedy, they acted it perfectly. None of the actors seemed particularly weak.

SPECIAL EFFECTS, CINEMATOGRAPHY, MUSIC SCORE, CAMERA SHOTS, EDITING, ETC.
The technical aspects of the film were close to genius. The way they used quick shots of his journey to Sanford was very interesting. It keeps your focus very well. The music was timed really well with the shots, they complimented each other nicely. The journey as i previously mentioned stood out quite a lot, because of the way it was shot. Simon Pegg (Nicholas) and Nick Frost also wrote Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz was done in kind of the same style. I'm mostly referring to the quick fast shots.

FINAL COMMENTS
I reccommend the reader go see this movie, it is highly entertaining and you get more out of it, if you view it more than once. Everything about it is done to a T. The action and the comedy work very well together. There is a particular audience that would prefer it, mostly boys or males it doesn't matter the age. This is no chick flick, though I'm sure many girls would thouroughly enjoy it as well. The films strengths are comedy, if you like that kind of comedy at least and well timed shots. The weaknesses are not very present. The length might be weak, but it holds your focus so well you feel as if no time has passed. Overall this film is enjoyable!
