Run, Fat Boy, Run Review
1) Run, Fat Boy, Run
2) Comedy with a touch of Gross-out
3) *****/5
PLOT
1) The Movie is about Dennis Doyle, a man who always seems to be running away. In the beginning Dennis runs away from his pregnant fiancee, minutes before their wedding. A couple years later, he’s a chubby security guard sprinting after a shoplifter. Soon after, Dennis decides to enter the same marathon as his ex-girlfriends rich boyfriend, to show his ex and his young son that he can make plans and see them through.
ACTING
1) In my opinion I believe the characters in this film could be true and I would not doubt that the events have really happened to someone in their life.
2) For this type of movie the characters do seem somewhat of stereotypes. Dennis seems to be like the typical movie man who is unhealthy, smokes and always wants to prove something. There is the ex-girlfriend/wife who goes on to marry a rich, athletic man and the child who loves his father no matter how much of a screw up he is.
3) The main characters seem to be well developed. They all have their own different unique personalities and traits.
4) All of the actors were actually really believable I thought. They all had their different reactions and showed there emotions towards things and towards each other.
SPECIAL EFFECTS, CINEMATOGRAPHY, MUSIC SCORE, CAMERA SHOTS, EDITING, ETC.
1) In this movie I don’t think any special effects were used. The editing was great and I liked the mix of british humour, some slapstick and song montages throughout the movie.
2) I liked the fact that it was a comedy but it sent out a strange inspirational message to the viewers which really pulled you in by the end of the movie.
FINAL COMMENTS
1) Yes, the reader must go and watch this film so that they can also have the same feeling I did by the end of this movie.
2) Other then the Profanity, nudity and gross-out slapstick I think its great for the whole family.
3) Everything in this movie is just great the only weakness would have to be some of that terrible British Humour.
